BRIERLEY HILL MOTORCROSS CLUB RULES 2009 [Close view]

1.   All members or a representative are required to attend 3 out of 4 club meetings. Only a representative/family member will be allowed to sign the entry sheet. If a rider/representative cannot attend, contact a committtee member for the weeks entry. This rule may be relaxed throughout the “Closed Seasons” at the discretion of the committee. Club meeting will start at 9:00pm anyone attending after this time will be deemed as absent. Only a representative / family member will be allowed to sign the entry sheet, if a rider/representative cannot attend they can contact a committee member for the week’s entry.
2.   Any rider not attending a club meeting must get in touch with a committee member before the weekend to find out if there is any work parties etc, have been arranged. Non-attendance at club meetings will not be a valid reason for not attending work parties.
3.   No member will be allowed to owe money for more then one motocross entry. This includes telephone entries, i.e. if you owe monies for an entry then you will not be allowed any entries until the debt is cleared.
4.   No member will be issued with a licence application form whilst they owe money to the club.
5.   No member will receive a dinner dance/presentation ticket unless all subs and outstanding debts are paid up to date.
6.   The committee have the right to suspend the licence of any member who has outstanding debts to the club.
7.   When a member clears an outstanding debt, it is that member’s responsibility to ensure their name is marked off the debt book.
8.   All riding members will attend all work parties at the time stated; late arrivals or early departures will need a very good reason and may lead to disciplinary action, as will non attendance. Any rider not able to attend must receive permission from at least two committee members and must be prepared to contribute in some other way in running the meeting.
9.   Riders who miss work parties with out a valid reason will not be allowed to enter for the following two events.
10. All riding members will provide at least one helper/marshal/official on the day of our motocross meetings. Marshals need to be 16 and over for insurance purposes.
11. Riders not having contact with the general secretary for three consecutive weeks will automatically have their licence suspended. Suspended licences will only be re-issued at the discretion of the committee.
12. Any riding or social member is entitled to a full explanation of any decision made by the committee. The explanation is to be addresses in front of the whole club.
13. Any riding member is able to appeal against any disciplinary penalty. The appeal is to take place as soon as possible (14 days) after the penalty has been imposed in front of the whole club (club night).
14. Prospective new members to be accepted subject to a vote of approval from at least 50% of the existing members. Abstentions are to count as a no vote. New members include anyone who was not a member during the preceding year.
15. All riding members to pay weekly subscriptions. The weekly amount will be agreed by the committee, and be paid for the duration of the racing season. The rider will not be allowed to enter the event if their subscriptions are not paid up to date.
16. Guardians will be responsible for children in their care. Guardians will be responsible to do all work parties and be responsible for any commitments to the Brierley Hill MotoCross Club.
17. Disposal of club assets:
      In the event that the club should fold, all liability for the money, debts and assets will be evenly distributed between all the fully paid members of the Brierley Hill Motocross Club 2008. There is no liability for debts or assets to the A.M.C.A. Ltd.
Note: the committee reserves the right to over rule any of the previous rules for an individual with special reasons and circumstances. However, the decision will not be taken lightly. The committee’s decision is final.
The committee also reserves the right to suspend a member’s licence at any time deemed necessary. The decision will not be taken lightly but when members abuse the club rules or bring shame upon the Brierley Hill Motocross Club. All riders and social members will abide and respect the “A.M.C.A. official rule book.”  Failure to do so will again lead to disciplinary action being taken by the club committee and or the A.M.C.A. The Brierley Hill committee has the power to insist that a rider’s licence be revoked and the rider should never be allowed to ride in A.M.C.A. events again.
All riders must sign to say that they agree with all of the above rules before a licence application form will be issued. The Brierley Hill Motocross Club is primarily for the enjoyment of riders of motocross. However, it is often necessary for each and every member to put a lot of effort and hard work into the club activities, such as running meetings etc., the committee feels that if any member is not prepared to act over and above their duty to the club, then that member should not of even considered joining the Brierley Hill Motocross Club and membership will be determined forthwith.
