New circuit is a real winner
By CHRIS CZORA

Brierley Hill Moto-Cross club held a successful race meeting on Sunday
at a new Shropshire circuit - Coppice Green, near Shifnal.

And although the circuit attracted only a small entry of riders, the general
consensus was that the venue had a lot of potential for the future.

"We were very pleased with the way the meeting ran, and are very grateful to
the landowners," stated Brierley club chairman Ray Hartill.

"We have put a lot of work into the circuit but hope to make more improvements
for the future, including some extra jumps"

Top local rider was Patrick Crump from the Clee Hill Victors, who took victory in
the 750cc Expert class with a second place and two wins.

Druids members Gavin Williams and Jamie Powell took victory in the 250 and
125cc Expert classes respectively.

In other classes, local success included Druids club members Simon Williams
and Jonathan Groves, first and third overall in the 125cc seniors,
while Shrewsbury rider Matthew Evans took overall victory in the 125cc Junior class.

Completing the local successes were Shrewsbury riders Neil Stokes and
Chris Czora who took third overall in the 750cc Seniors and 250cc Juniors respectively.
